Rates, the refundable deposit, handover at your site, keeping a machine longer and returning early.

Reading a rental listing
Each listing under Rental shows the rate (daily, weekly or monthly, as the owner offers), the refundable deposit, how many units are free, the usage included, the charge for extra usage, and whether an operator and fuel are included.

Booking and paying
Choose your dates and site, then pay the rent and the deposit online. Operator charges, where they apply, are shown as their own line. The owner accepts the booking and assigns a machine.
Handover at your site
At delivery the owner records the meter reading, fuel level and condition, with photos. Rent starts from this handover. The same check is done at return, and you can confirm it or dispute it.
What comes out of the deposit
Damage found at return is taken from the deposit, and can never be more than the deposit. Extra usage beyond what was included is taken from whatever deposit is left. You pay only if the deposit does not cover it, and the rest of the deposit is refunded.
Keeping it longer or returning early
To extend, press Keep it longer on the booking in My Bookings. The owner approves and you pay the extra rent online.
If you return early, the refund follows the rule set on that listing: no refund, a refund for unused days, or a refund for unused days less a notice fee. The rule is shown on your booking.

Paying extras in cash
Some extras, such as extra hours or fuel, can be paid in cash at handover. You confirm each cash payment with a one-time code, so only pay what is shown to you.
